of worker rights. The NLC puts a human face on the global economy. This
site is full of great information about campaigns and contains the actual
testimony of sweatshop workers, information about conditions in particular
companies, and wages and working conditions in countries around the world.
Resource Center of the Americas
The Resource Center of the Americas reviews labor conditions, labor-related
news, union organizing and cross-border solidarity in countries throughout
North, Central and South America.
Free the Children
Free the Children is an international network of children helping children
through representation, leadership and action. It is dedicated to eliminating
the exploitation of children around the world, by encouraging youth to
volunteer in, as well as to create programs and activities that relieve
the plight of underprivileged children.

Workers' Rights Consortium
This is a relatively new effort by students to get their universities
to join a network which will respond to worker complaints. The Worker
Rights Consortium (WRC) is a non-profit organization that supports and
verifies licensee compliance with codes of conduct in global workplaces.
These codes of conduct have been developed by colleges and universities
across the country to ensure that goods are produced under conditions
that respect the basic rights of workers.
European Trade Union Institute
Founded in 1978 on the initiative of the European Trade Union Confederation,
the Institute forms a bridge between the trade union movement and the
academic world. On this site you'll find a database of European Works
