Headline feeds
Add links to the latest PLNA news to your web site
We expect to create an RSS feed in the coming months, so that you can include PLNA headlines on your web site.
Or: Display PLNA headlines with an RSS reader
What is an RSS news reader?
Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a format to distribute timely news. Any RSS reader will display RSS feeds from whatever sources you choose, either on the web or on your desktop, and most readers are free. The reader shows the latest headlines from each source, with links to the articles, and it's automatically updated every time your news source is updated.
So when we update Philippine Labor News & Analysis, you automatically see a new group of headlines. PLNA feeds include up to 10 headlines, with links back to ueinternational.org to read each article. If you choose to include "descriptions," the reader will also show a few lines from the beginning of each article.
How to get a reader to view RSS headlines
The Reader is a program you can download or use online.
The readers that are probably easiest to use are free and Web-based. For example, My Yahoo! users can add RSS feeds directly to their personal pages, and so can Google users. Some email programs now also offer an option to view RSS feeds.
A downloaded news reader will display the headlines and links to articles on your desktop. Or you can incorporate a reader into your web site. After installing a news reader, add this feed from our Web site by clicking on the "RSS" button above.
New and better readers are constantly being developed. To find a reader you like, search the web or try download sites like C|Net's download.com.
